THE JELLYFISH

A series of experiments with Muscle Wire and 3D printed/laser cut components which developed into a model resembling a jellyfish in both form and movement throughout the iterative process. Originally meant to display a growing and shrinking circular movement inspired by the pumping of the heart the concepts developed into complex assemblies that could move without interaction through muscle wire controlled by an Arduino and Processing code. This process resulted in what would become one of the models in the Urban Purification Series.
